Mr Walayat Shah son of Pir Talib Ghafoor Shah was born on May 1, 1955. He graduated from University of the Punjab, Lahore in 2002. He obtained the degree of BBA in 2003 from Al-Khair University, Azad Kashmir. He served as Chairman, Union Council during 1979 and as Councillor, District Council during 1986. He remained Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 1988-90, 1993-96 and 2002-07 and also functioned as Parliamentary Secretary for Agriculture. He has returned to the Punjab Assembly for the fourth term in general elections 2008 and is functioning as Chairman, Standing Committee on Agriculture. He has travelled to Schengen States and UK.
