Syed Hassan Murtaza son of Syed Ghulam Murtaza was born on April 25, 1967 at Rajoya Sadat, Chiniot. He graduated in 2002 from University of the Punjab, Lahore. An agriculturist, who served as Member, District Council, Jhang during 1991-92 and as Nazim, Union Council, Jhang during 2001-02. He served as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 2002-07 and has returned to the Punjab Assembly for the second consecutive term in general elections 2008. He has travelled to Saudi Arabia, Dubai, India, UK, Hong Kong, Iran, Bangkok and Singapore. His uncle, Sardarzada Zaffar Abbass served as Member of Punjab Assembly during 1985-88, 1988-90 and as Member of National Assembly during 1993-96; his maternal grandfather, Sardar Ghulam Abbas served as MLA twice before partition.
