Syed Haroon Ahmed Sultan son of Makhdoom Syed Muhammad Abdullah Shah Bukhari was born on February 2, 1972 at Multan. He obtained the degree of MBA in 2002 from University of Liverpool, UK. An agriculturist, who served as Member, District Council, Muzaffargarh during 1998-99; and as Nazim, Muzaffargarh during 2001-02. He was a Member of Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 2002-07 and also functioned as Minister for Livestock & Dairy Development during 2003-07. He has returned to the Punjab Assembly for the second consecutive term in bye-election 2008. His father was Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 1977, 1988-90, 1990-93, 1993-96 and 1997-99; and his brother, Makhdoomzada Syed Basit Ahmed Sultan Bukhari was Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 1997-99 and Member, National Assembly during 2002-2007
