Ms Nighat Sheikh daughter of Mr Muhammad Siddique was born on April 28, 1970 in Lahore. She graduated in 1992 from University of the Punjab, Lahore and obtained the degree of B.Ed. in 1999 from Government College of Education, Lahore. She started her political career as General Councillor, Union Council No.76, Lahore during 2001-05; and then became a District Member, District Council Lahore during 2005-08. With a lot of hard work and untiring efforts, she paved her way into the Punjab Assembly as MPA for the first time during 2008-13. Her outstanding and vivid working style again helped her in grabbing an MPA seat for second consecutive term in general elections 2013 against one of the seats reserved for women. A social worker and an entrepreneur, who deals in automobile business. She has travelled to KSA, Qatar, South Africa and Singapore. Her father was a political activist, who was engaged in politics even before partition.
