Personal Career & Interests

Malik Nazar Farid Khokhar, son of Malik Noor Muhammad Khokhar, was born on October 3, 1949 at Pipli Pahar, Tehsil Depalpur, District Okara. He obtained the degree of LL.B. in 1970 from Punjab University Law College, Lahore; and is a practising lawyer. He served as Vice President, District Bar, Okara during 1983, President District Bar, Okara during 1988-89 and 1990-91, Member Executive Committee, Supreme Court Bar during 1997-99 and Member Punjab Bar Council, Lahore Division during 1999-2001. He has been elected as Member Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in General Elections 2002, and is functioning as Chairman, Committee on Privileges since August 12, 2003. He is also serving as Chairman District Steering Committee, Okara. His father remained Member Punjab Legislative Assembly during 1951-55, Member National Assembly during 1962-65 and 1965-69; and his cousin, Malik Muhammad Abbas Khokhar, was Member Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 1985-88, 1990-93, 1993-96 and 1997-99.
