·         The Punjab Price Control of Essential Commodities Bill 2024, as recommended by Special Committee No. 1, was taken up. Mr Mujtaba Shuja Ur Rehman, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, moved for consideration of the Bill.

·         The Opposition Members moved their amendments in the Bill which were voted out by the Assembly. Thereafter the Bill was passed by the Assembly.

Chaudhry Iftikhar Hussain Chhachhar, Mr Muhammad Shoaib Siddiqui and Mr Ahmad Iqbal Chaudhry moved motions for suspension of Rules for taking up resolutions.

After getting suspension of Rules, three Resolutions were moved:

·         Chaudhry Iftikhar Hussain Chhachhar moved a resolution regarding demand for implementation of the basic principles of the Constitution of Pakistan and the trichotomy of power.

·         Mr Muhammad Shoaib Siddiqui moved a resolution for demand to bring anti-national elements involved in the tragic events of 9^th May to justice.

·         Mr Ahmad Iqbal Chaudhry moved a resolution demanding complete ban on the use of plastic bags.

The resolutions were adopted by the House.
