Mrs Farhana Afzal wife of Mr Muhammad Afzal was born on March 11, 1964 at Sargodha. She graduated in 1982 from Kinnaird College Lahore. An agriculturist, who served as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 2008-13 and has returned to Punjab Assembly for the second consecutive term in general elections 2013 against one of the seats reserved for women. She has visited Saudi Arabia and Turkey. Her husband, Mr Muhammad Afzal is a retired bureaucrat. Her uncle, Malik Muhammad Naeem Khan served as Member National Assembly for three consecutive terms during 1988-90, 1990- 93, 1993-96 and also functioned as Federal Minister; her sister-in-law, Ms Sumaira Malik was Member National Assembly during 2002-07, 2008-13 and functioned as Federal Minister for Women Development and youth Affairs; and her brother-in-law, Mahr Rabnawaz Lak served as Member Punjab Assembly during 2002-07 and 2008-13.
